  • Biography and accomplishments or why Amenhotep II was famous: A military campaigner and warrior king who was reported to have personally killed seven rebel Princes at Kadesh. He lead successful campaigns into Syria, Nubia and Mesopotamia. Amenhotep's first campaign into Syria was finacially very successful and it is recorded that the spoils of war acquired by the pharaoh included vast amounts of gold and copper together with over 200 horses and 300 chariots. He continued the work started by his fatherThutmose III to remove the name of Queen Hatshepsut from Ancient Egyptian historical records.
